W.A.R Foundation- A Quiet Revolution

All of us have noticed many large organizations and N.G.O's (not-for-profit) exercising Corporate Social Responsibility in order to serve society and contribute towards the economic development of our nation. Many are the one's who get this sense of responsibility fulfilled by spending hefty amount as charity or donations. And, on the other hand, there are one's who actually roll up their sleeves, get out on streets, with an inexplicable fire and promise in their eyes, for doing SOMETHING big and unimaginable. These people have silently outraged CSR and have like just taken an oath of creating an Outcry against inhumanity, dishonesty, corruption and all evil doers in society. These men are not afraid of anything and have a strange inextinguishable fire in their bellies.

Have got to know about many such honorable men in recent times. It includes many individuals who have paid huge opportunity costs, leaving MNC jobs after IIT - IIM combo pack and starting NGO's, or other society serving organizations. Saluting the tri-color far above duo-degree. Adding on the legends who have joined Police force, Army, Military, Politics with faithful aims, and many who made to be IAS officers. Hundreds among them remain unrecognized, yet working hard and fulfilling their responsibility just like anything. Not forgetting to salute many who are on their way, making regular efforts, for achieving something to make a mark.

The feelings and the thought process that these type of people carry, can just make one feel so small and could make one realize the sense of responsibility he has towards the War against Injustice'S. Their Crazy attitude, Animal like Spirit, Wo Jasba kuch kar dikhane ka, Junoon they have in their eyes ,scream aloud saying- Rok Sako to Rok Lo...
I remember someone actually saying in a video- “Kya karna padega? Raat ko Roz der tak kaam karna hai, karenge. Nahi hua to subah fir jaldi uthenge...Usse bhi nahi bana to soyenge nahi raat bhar yaar, par kuch karke bataenge...” tears popped out of his eyes while saying so... Can anyone Stop people like him fulfilling their dreams? Kaun Rokega Inhe???

Having taken in to account all these happening factors, yet it makes us feel something missing and incomplete from our side when we see our denizens begging on signals, people robbing judiciary, breaking unstructured laws, promoting child labor etc...For sure we cannot resolve all these issues, but beginning with something for doing SOMETHING can make us eligible to at least stand in front of honorable men we talked about.

We even had this type of sensational discussion in our Entrepreneurship class at PROTON a couple of weeks back. Many would be entrepreneurs expressed their POV's on the same. We came on topic- Is it essential to realize CSR only when you get too big in Corporate world? No not at all, can't start it now, hand in hand with whatever corporate giant dream we have for us..? Hence born- W.A.R Foundation – A Quiet Revolution.

The objective what we as a group have decided while going for Walk, Act and Rise Foundation, is to do many small things with a not-for-profit motive (viz-a-viz our daily rat race routine) which could help creating awareness, making people happy and hence serving the society. We had been through three stages for this as of till now. Would like to come up with in depth info on all 3 of them separately in next post.

Executive Summary of Facility Management Plan

Business Idea on Facility Management-

This is one of many plans which are made with a view of dual-achievement- Serving the society & Running a high-end business.
It will be a pleasure to have numerous precious inputs, additional ideas and criticism on the plan.

We all have many a time noticed the problems which housewives face in dealing with their home maids. Whether we talk about house cleaning (jhadu pocha), dishes wash (bartan dhona), bathroom cleaning or what so ever, dealing with maids in any case is a quite tough job. However simple it may look like, getting the work done in a proper manner is really a very challenging task. Further, it also takes more time and efforts of housewives than what it deserves.

Wonder if you have a local service provider of facility management, who is having his own community of trained maids which are hired on monthly salary basis.

Just Imagine-
Yesterday evening you'd called on toll-free number 633-22-222, and got your home registered for house cleaning and dishwash @ Rs.500 per month. (Rs.250/ facility/ month, out of various available options like bathroom wash, vehicles cleaning, gardening, painting etc…)
• And today morning 8.00 a.m (as per your selected slot) maid arrives, rings the bell, and wishes you a warm Good Morning Sir/Ma'am.
• Picks up her required equipments, performs the task in a proper manner as per the hard core training provided by the community trainers.
• She knows that her primary objective is to remain complaint less for the whole month in order to receive incentives and recognition in community.
• It is not a problem if house wife wants to change the time as per her busy schedule, as the community has flexible shift options, with 'n' number of trained maids in every shift.
• She is not asking you for 'is mahine ke paise', you've already paid it on quarterly basis.
• You had a slot of 8.00-9.30, its 9.15 am & her required work is done..oopss! 15 mins to go..Hold on, she is asking you if she can assist you in any other work as she is supposed to be at your place for complete paid time slot. (work, if any)
• Whether this maid stays for long time/ quarter or not, you'll get all your work done. (Remember, 'n' number of trained maids in every shift?)
• All in all, you have not only outsourced your cleaning and all stuff, but also the head ache you or the housewife is supposed to carry day long, every day. Hence, the objective is to steal/buy one of your many tensions to keep you calm and happy at the end of the day.

Aakhir Dil Hai Hindustani..

Listening to some interesting Indian ways of doing things in a recent session by our Chief Mentor at PROTON, I went through a remarkable distinguished dual feeling inclusive of a embarrassment vis-à-vis extreme pride, both at the same time.

I am talking about certain things which have been inherited in us since birth, being an Indian. "JUGAAD", as they say, is a must to be known factor as a source of livelihood. Business me politicians se Jugaad, Class me attendance ki Jugaad, Doston se paison ki Jugaad, ya Officer se red signal ke baad phone pe Jugaad...
Rightly said, "Aadha Hindustan Jugaad se hi chalta hai…"

Talking about Mother tongue/Language- I was amazed to know about Canada handling diversity by having both French and English as their official language. In India, having being such huge diversified culture and a minimum of 30 different identified languages along with 2000 dialects, we remain united with just one {Hindi} language as our mother tounge.
However, another side of coin- Its pity that our's is the only country where student is punished and fined in schools/colleges if uses the mother tongue..

Complacency, a pre received virtue. In simpler words, the attitude of- "Chalta Hai.."
Being Indian allows you to cut into lanes unapologetically but abuse others who do the same. Where taxi drivers get into fights at signals and continue fighting even after the signal has turned green, then red and then green again! You will litter within your alley, but will be gung-ho about Singapore’s ‘keep this country clean’ drive. You are also capable of thinking any girl who exposes a shoulder/calve or smokes is ‘challu’. One of the few places I know of, where hundreds of cinema halls thrive on B Grade movies, and at the same place, people in hundreds, take the streets to burn effigies of Richard Gere for an innocent peck on the cheek and politicians label cheerleaders as ‘ashleel’.
Who is the culprit? We {aam admi} or politician? I bet on –None. The criminal is our complacent attitude.

We love our democracy like crazy, yet we want the biggest pie of it for ourselves. So we fight ourselves, kill each other, pull the neighbor down, but also magically manage to unite in face of external threat, perceived or otherwise, warfield or crickefield. Well, well.
We are probably one of the most racist societies in the world, priding the brown skin over the black, So Sonia Gandhi cannot be the Prime Minister of India because of her "foreign origin", but we celebrate the victory of Bobby Jindal or an Indian-origin PM in a little known country with the full pride of belonging.
We rejoice and cry in happiness when a mostly mediocre film wins the Oscar, mostly due to lobbying. Slumdog Millionaire was an entertainer made for the American audiences, winning their awards. We never rejoiced so much when Traffic Signal or Chandni Bar showed the gruesome reality of India in a much more realistic fashion.

Nevertheless, there are certain things that only an Indian can do. You don’t need to be gifted, just Indian.
-Take for e.g. our inherent ability to do the Bhangra. The ever eager non-Punjabi’s make it looks so entertaining and simple. Arms in the air move your shoulders, add in a few squats here and bbrrruuuaaahhh!!! Who cares, what the music you’re dancing on is! Another much loved- Wedding special dance, which involves rapid movements of the elbow, usually into the faces of other people.
State wise- Maharashtra ka ‘Ganpati Dhol Mix’. It basically looks like you’re trying to shake ants from your pants while dancing on hot flames. Gujrat ka Garba, this is the most accommodating form of dance, as it is nowadays integrated into trance with all sorts of music with three beats and a half.
-The other interesting thing is our palette, which is largely divided into pockets assigned as ‘Tomato Ketchup’. Without this it's not a table where food’s well enjoyed, then be it with your samosa’s or your pasta. Where else can the components of a ‘burger’ be Aloo Tikki and green chutney?
We swear by road side pani puri, pepped up with a sand storm and huddled together by hands, which will no time soon, be passing the bare requirements of health and safety . Yet we diligently wash our hands after eating.

All in all, what ever we say, these are all flavors that make my country the spiciest on the continent! And in that dual feeling, pride far outweighs the feeling of embarassment.

Rightly claimed, I bet too, "You can take the Indian out of India... but you can never take the India out of the Indian ",
Aakhir Dil Hai Hindustani..

Is Terrorism My Fault..??

In the earlier post, we discussed about India's gigantic upcoming Growth Story via Her rising young population, i.e. 'Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawaanon Ka'. In contrast to having such numerous incalculable positive signs boosting the nation's growth, we unfortunately have several regretful signs too, which create obstacles in India's growth story. One of these obstacles is 'TERRORISM'. Likewise- Mumbai blasts, Naxalism, Kashmiri issue etc..., we have faced many terrorist attacks most of which remain unresolved and show rare positive signs to get resolved soon. It makes strong sense to prioritize solving terrorism, as it is making our fast running nation's growth story, slower.

However, in order to solve it, just blaming the involved candidates won't be enough. The analysis needs to start from 'level zero'. Who are these people? Why are they doing so? What do they want? Who will be the right person to talk to? Whether these people do so because of some illogical reason or because of some may be logical reason? etc...

These dangerous yet essential questions make me think where does the real fault of all the misshapenness lie? Is it really THEIR fault…May be we need to rethink..

- Power to do something is with politicians. It's their fault. But, wait a minute, I am voting, which chooses them, or I am 'not voting', which lets them to be artificially chosen…Than doesn't it symbolizes that- It is My Fault..?

-I pay bribe to officer, I am adding on corruption, making the deteriorated system to deteriorate further. Doesn't it symbolizes...-It is My Fault..??

- My little efforts could do something..?' Ahhhh..forget it, they won't make even little impact…I think that the responsibility is only on the shoulder of politicians. They need to create systems, reforms etc.. Thinking so doesn't symbolizes that- It is My Fault..?

- I've seen lifestyle of elite class. I want salary in 6 digits or more, with perks such as car and cell phone. I would pursue my career in MBA, CA, or some professional course. IAS, Police officer, Politics..Amazing..but, these are not my cup of tea.
Then too sitting at centralized air conditioned home, adjoining voice with news anchor, I abuse all authorities while watching pitiful snaps of attacked victims. {I although DONATE money for welfare of nation later on…jis se meri saari galtiyan maaf}. Now, doesn't it symbolizes........ It is My Fault..?

All in all, may be its quite difficult for me to walk alone or do something as in Rang De Basanti. But, can't I at least stop my non sense attitude to blame every and anyone for terrorism and other misshapenness? Should'nt I respect people at least trying to do something? {People in Army, Military, Politics, IAS, Police force- All fighting Terrorism} Shouldn't I find some way through which I {via my field/job profile} could do a little contribution towards eradicating these evils…?

I admit, I could do far more..Should I say with disgraceful confidence- Terrorism Is My Fault…?

Or I could get some way through which I can save myself from this embarrassment and humiliation..??

Welcome @ Youth India...

A warm Welcome to 'IndiaYouth919',

Having been in the nation which consists of 70 percent population below 35 years of age we can clearly imagine a bright sparkling India coming head on. It would not be a shock to expect the whole world facing a gigantic Indian revolution soon.

But, their are loads of things to be done in order to add authenticity to the above statement. We know the things which are to be done, and we also have young human resources, the most important need to get them done. The need just is to connecting the dots. However, we have several obstacles coming in between, likewise, Corruption, Bribery etc...

The try and objective to create IndiaYouth919 is to have a platform wherein we could follow discussion and ideas based upon overcoming the same. Army, Miltary, IAS, Entrepreneurship, Politics...their are innumerable ways we as youth could go head on with.

Hope to have unimaginable creative ideas to succeed coming head over when several Indian youngsters are coming on a mutual digital platform together.
''India, my nation, right or wrong, If wrong needed to be set right & if right needed to be kept right.''

Thanking You. Awaiting your feedback and suggestions on manishv4@gmail.com.

Regards,
Manish Vaswani

Yeh Desh Hai Veer Jawanon Ka...

INDIA...One of the fastest running nation in the international race of world economies. A developing nation with already developed intellectual resources. Country, which attracts the people worldwide with its culture, innumerable festivals, great hospitality etc etc…We'll have to believe that the BEST is yet to come..{with a lot of hard work and efforts, of course}.

Their is a puzzle I used to wonder about since many years -The Tiger, which on one hand is envisaged as top 3rd economy in near future after U.S & China, & on the other hand has 25% of its population under poverty line. Despite of available resources, capital, manpower, what is that due to which our economy is still developing, not developed?? The puzzle remains unsolved even after 62+ years of independence..
The could be solution- The average age of India is 27 (U.S-44, China-39). We still invest the energy and efforts of young population in abusing the corrupt politicians & searching mistakes in their way of work. One point which we people forget is- What have WE done till now for our nation..? We yet do not deserve to abuse them...Therefore the eventual solution has to be to use the amazing young resources in the Very Right Way...
The need of the hour is a right direction for the energetic young generation of India. Instead of being jealous of neighbor’s success and making efforts to adverse it, we have to learn to concentrate more on our hard work, our mission & our success in GLOBAL terms. The term which can help our nation to achieve this is- Group effort. We all have to work TOGETHER in a right direction with lot of zeal and energy to rewrite the rules for our nation. We need to DREAM BIG FOR INDIA- ''Where poor will not just merely be reduced to statistics but where there will be no poor. Where we could have a day when small children are taken to a poverty museum (like science museum) where they shiver at the plight of the way people used to live in the last millennium. We need to dream and to dream and to dream…& let this dream has to take the form of a revolution. As long as our dreams will keep outweighing our memories, India would remain a young and dynamic nation on its path to global equality. And for this let the wait not be for eternity. We'll have to TOGETHER achieve this within a decade.''

However..even after knowing the need of the hour and the value of question that Something is to be done, the question remains same..How Can I Contribute?? We have lots of eligible youth in India who want to do something for nation, but are just required to show a green road map. Now, the beauty over here is that we all have our own way to add on and eventually attain a common objective- India's Success...

As per my take, I have aimed to add on my contribution simply by creating an organization, which produces such a product or service which directly or indirectly somehow will contribute in the welfare of 319 million people nation wide who go to bed hungry every night. My aim is to create an organization which though aims maximum profit, but not on the cost to be paid by 25 percent Indians living below poverty line.

Do we have 'n' number of such ways of adding our contribution in India's Growth Story??? Are we connecting to each other ???
